What do the red messages mean?

Red messages are messages for you to check your data as it is invalid.

These messages will stop you from proceeding.

If you are correcting a bulk import record, which has red messages you are essentially correcting the passport rather than updating the passport

What do the yellow messages mean?

Yellow messages are warnings for you to double check the values entered.

These messages will not stop you from proceeding.

If you are correcting a bulk import record, which has yellow messages you are essentially correcting the passport rather than updating the passport

When does the error message disappear?

Error messages appear in a red box at the top of the screen. So that you can read, copy and refer to them, they persist until you dismiss them by clicking on the 'x' at the right hand side.

What does error message 'xxxx' mean?

Error messages all have a reference number on the left hand side. You can visit the error message description page to get a fuller description of common error messages.
